Lucy is currently teaching Carnatic flute and singing from her home in Shoreham by Sea.
Her teaching style combines the very practical, imitative traditional method by which she herself was
taught by her Indian teachers with some useful aspects of the western analytical approach.
Carnatic music is beautiful, spiritual, relaxing and meditative. It is full of joy and energy and is
melodically and rhythmically challenging.
Through Carnatic music, the student can explore their vocal potential, develop their aural skills,
learn how to improvise both melodically and rhythmically and develop a really instinctive grasp and feel for rhythm.
Lucy teaches one to one and to small groups and she also gives workshops.
